"A visionary is a dreamer who takes action"
About Internet: Curry and Conversation
Internet: Curry and Conversation is a semi-regular (monthly) get together of friends who work in the online domain.
Started in 2008 with a name that was always more lofty than its intended purpose*, we meet monthly for the purpose of having an open discussion on Internet related trends, topics, and developments. These discussions typically start at the Internet, but range far and wide from there.
Our meetings are small, informal and held in the evening over dinner and beverages at a local pub. The best meetings seem to have no more than eight attendees, but we rarely hit that number. Our regulars are an eclectic mix that ranges from developers to marketers.
Membership in the group is open to anyone. If you're actively involved with Internet related work, if your work is related to Internet issues, or if you just want to talk about how the Internet is changing daily life around the world, we'd love to see you.
If you're interested in joining, simply check for the next event and sign up. You can also join our mailing list for meeting notifications.
Time and Venue
Meetings start at 6:30pm and typically run until about 9:30.
Our current venue of choice is:
The Duke of York Pub, 39 Prince Arthur Ave.
The closest major intersection is Avenue and Bloor.

If you have any problems finding us, please call Alan Langford at 416.566.6584 (if you get no answer just before the event, he's running late and on the subway. Try again in a few minutes).
* The original name was IPEV, for "Internet Professionals, Experts, and Visionaries". No matter how we wrapped it, this name was simply far more pretentious than it was intended to be. The new name is based on the fact that many of use order the pub's excellent curry. However, there is no requirement to do so!
